Holy Saturday is the most solemn day of the Church Year. At Blessed Mary Angela parish, the service began with the blessing of fire outside of St. Hyacinth church. As the fire was passed from parishioner to parishioner, the Exultet was sung by Terri Helwig.
Following the readings from the Old Testament and the Gospel proclamation, the congregation was blessed with Holy Water. Mr. David Felt was welcomed into Full Communion with the Roman-Catholic Church through the solemn Profession of Faith and completion of the Sacraments of Initiation (Confirmation and Eucharist).
Blessed Mary Angela Parish will celebrate Holy Week with a variety of activities. The services will be divided between the St. Hyacinth Church and the St. Hedwig Church. The daily schedule will include the services for the special days of Holy Week. You can also find the time for parish Confessions, Adoration, Stations of the Cross, Blessing of the food baskets, and Easter Sunday morning Masses.
