Sunshine Club

Parishioners of all ages are invited to join the Sunshine Club to help spread some sunshine and happiness to the sick, homebound and Armed Forces' members of the parish.

The Blessed Mary Angela Sunshine Club meets every Second Monday of the month from September to June at 1:00 PM in the school meeting room. We begin with a prayer to Blessed Mary Angela for all the sick in the parish and in remembrance of those who have died.

Our purpose is the make and/or send cards, or small gifts, to the sick, homebound and Armed Forces' members at various times of the year. We also visit the nursing homes and the homebound. Some of our members distribute Holy Communion during these visits.

During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, we chair the food, clothing and gift collection and distribution for the needy in the parish.

Please consider joining in these worthy Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy! We hope you will come and join us in spreading "sunshine" in our area!

Those who are not able to come to meetings and would still like to help may make donations to cover the cost of mailings and supplies. Cards are always needed, if you have any extra, we'll happily take them.
Please contact Sr. Rachel at 366-1950 for more information.
